Xtreme eDeals Inc. (“we”, “us”) runs xtremeedeals.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What We Collect
Contact and order details: Name, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses, what you ordered, and your order history.
Business account details: Company name and GST/HST number, if you apply for a trade (B2B) account.
Payment details: Stripe and PayPal process your payment. We never see or store your full card number.
Messages: Emails, calls and contact-form messages you send us.
Website data: Cookies, IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. We collect this through our site, Google reCAPTCHA, and Google Analytics.
Why We Use It
- To process, ship, and support your orders, returns and refunds.
- To create and manage your account and review trade-account applications.
- To prevent fraud and spam, and to keep the site secure.
- To keep business and tax records the law requires.
- To send marketing emails, only with your consent. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Who We Share It With
We share only what each party needs to do its job:
- Couriers and freight carriers, including through our shipping platform ClickShip, to deliver your order.
- Stripe and PayPal, to process payments.
- Our website hosting, email and IT providers.
- Our accountants and professional advisers.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. There, your information may be accessible to that country’s courts and authorities under its laws.
How Long We Keep It
We keep order and invoice records for at least six years, as Canadian tax law requires. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it or make it anonymous.
How We Protect It
Our site uses encrypted (SSL) connections. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
