Decorex Hardware Plastic Inserts were created to connect baluster to the handrail with ease. Simply hammer the plastic insert (narrow end) into the top of square baluster, then connect to the handrail with a screw.
It is also possible to use this product with dowel screw (NOT included). To do this, slide the plastic insert (narrow end) into the bottom of the trimmed baluster, install the dowel screw (not included) into the tread, and screw the plastic insert and baluster tight against the tread surface.
